First consideration is if this beach wedding will be in other country like Costa Rica at resort destination, choose a good day, ask to Villas Rio Mar staff if the date you would like the weeding will be is perfect for the time of the year, although in Costa Rica is difficult to know exactly the weather we can help you to chose the equipment necessary for your wedding according with the season of the year.

Select a wedding dress with halter or spaghetti straps for elegant and casual. This type of dress will be help you to stay cool in the hot sun. Don’t worry about your shoes you will be on the beach, use comfortable and casual sandals.

Another beach wedding ideas is decorating your wedding cake with beach things such as shells and some silver colors. Utilize beach accented accessories for instance a cake knife and champagne glasses to carry out the theme.

Day 0: arrival

After arriving at Juan Santamaria airport in San Jose, you will be picked up and taken in a  comfortable van to the  hotel El Sesteo in San Jose, where you will spend the night. (Note: the stay in El Sesteo can also be arranged for the last night of your trip, whatever suits your flight schedule best.)

Day 1: Playa Dominical

After enjoying your breakfast in El Sesteo, our driver will pick you up and take you to our beautiful Villas Rio Mar resort. During the drive from San Jose to Dominical you can enjoy several kinds of tropical forest and highlands and gorgeous mountain views. After arriving in Dominical you will be welcomed by our friendly staff, and have lunch. You can spend the afternoon exploring Dominical and its pristine beaches, or stay and relax at our swimming pool or tennis court. Dining a la carte at night in our restaurant.

Day 2: Tour to Corcovado or Caño Island National Park

You can choose this day to go on one of the Costa Rica’s 2 best National Parks….

Corcovado National Park: Here you can find 65% of Costa Rica’s biodiversity. This park is considered by National Geographic as the third best National Parks of the world. You can see up to four species of monkeys, snakes, sloths, and agoutis, and lots of birds and butterflies. You will also have the chance to see humpback, pilot whales, dolphins, sharks, and much more!

Snorkeling at Caño Island: The best spot in Costa Rica for scuba diving and snorkeling because of its visibility; about 20 meters (50 ft) and has lots of species of fish, turtles, manta rays, dolphins, whales and…. friendly sharks. On the island, a well maintained trail leads uphill into a rain forest environment where you can see trees that grow over 50 meters high. There is a chance to see dolphins, and humpback and pilot whales, depending on the season. You will have breakfast in a box to go and lunch at Corcovado or Caño island, and when you come back at night, our restaurant awaits you to feed your hungry belly!

Day 3: Tour to Nauyaca waterfalls

This day you’ll go on a horseback tour to the famous Nauyaca waterfalls. Nauyaca waterfalls are generally considered the most beautiful waterfalls of Central America, and breakfast, lunch and dinner are all arranged.

Day 4: Hacienda Baru – Canopy Tour and Self-guided trails

Hacienda Baru offers an amazing bio-diversity and an abundant flora and fauna. Their flight of the Toucan tour allows you to experience the rainforest canopy as a toucan; at high elevation and high speed, for the truly adventurous. Breakfast and dinner is included this day.

Day 5: Wedding day

This day you will have breakfast in bed. Somewhere after breakfast it’s relax time…you’ll both get a wonderful 60 min. massage by our Massage therapist. You’ll come back hungry, so it’s lunch time and according with the time you want to get married, we will have a photo-shoot (normal and digital) in our beautiful gardens and/or beach. The wedding ceremony will be held in on the beach, in our garden or our conference hall in the jungle by a Costa Rican notary.

At night you will have a romantic candlelight dinner, specially prepared by our chef with champagne, either at the pool or in our restaurant and your wedding cake as desert.

Day 6: Kayaking & Snorkeling or Kayaking Waves & Caves

After breakfast you’ll go snorkeling in Ballena National Marine Park. You can choose between:

Kayaking & Snorkeling: You paddle for 1,5 hour easily around on the Pacific Ocean eventually arriving at Ballena Island where your guides will set you up with drinks and fruits, and prepare you for snorkeling around the island. Or you can choose just to relax or discover the caves of the island.

Waves & Caves: For 1.30 hour we will go along the coast where you will witness the most beautiful scenery of “5 Ventanas” (tropical sea caves), pristine forest, reefs, beaches and a great variety of fauna. Besides this we will take you through 2 of the 25 caves we will bump into. After this adrenaline time we go to one of the most beautiful beaches of the “Playa 5 Ventanas” area where you will be set up for drinks and fruits in a tropical style. Two more caves will be accessible by walking through them, you also have some time for kayak surfing.   Breakfast and dinner included this day.

Day 7: Back to San José

After breakfast or brunch, our driver will take you to the airport in San Jose (or to hotel El Sesteo, depending on your flight schedule).

Day 1: Welcome to Domincial

After arriving in Dominical you will be welcomed by our friendly staff with a nice cocktail to welcome you to your Costa Rica honeymoon destination. You can spend the afternoon exploring Dominical and its pristine beaches, or stay and relax at our swimming pool or tennis court. Dinning at night in our restaurant with our special menu or our Daily Specials.

Day 2: To Nauyaca Waterfall!!!

This day you’ll go on a horseback tour to the famous Nauyaca waterfalls, Nauyaca waterfalls are generally considered the most beautiful waterfalls of Central America. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all arranged.

Day 3: A Day to Relax

You can have a full breakfast at our restaurant and then day you can spend your time enjoying being married…., have some time at our pool, take a walk in to town and enjoy yourself at our Dominical beach. Sometime during the day you will have a couples massage. Dinner will be at our restaurants.

Day 4: To Corcovado National Park!!!

This day will be an early morning, you need to be ready at 6:00 am, and you will go in a comfortable van from Dominical, taking the Costanera Highway along the Pacific Ocean for about 60 minutes to Sierpe. We will stop there to have breakfast at the Oleaje Sereno Restaurant (not included). We will then take a 45 minute boat ride through the largest area of mangrove swamps in Central America, where you will have a chance of seeing crocodiles, snakes, four species of monkeys, and a great variety of birds . Once through the Sierpe River Mouth we we’ll pass two of the most scenic areas in the country, Drake Bay and the Marenco Biological Reserve. Along the beautiful coast we’ll keep an eye out for Dolphins as well as Humpback, Pilot and Killer Whales. When we get to the park our bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a 3 hour walking tour of a pristine primary forest. The hike ends at the rangers station where we will provide a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by rich natural atmosphere.

Day 5: Back to San Jose

You can have a full breakfast at our restaurant, and when you are ready you will be picked up to go back to San Jose.

Day 2: Zip Line Tour at Hacienda Baru and Self-Guided Trails

At their farm house you will be able to see and take pictures with their toucans and scarlet macaws. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all arranged.

Day 4: WEDDING DAY

This day you will have breakfast in bed. The bride will have a manicure, pedicure and a facial. You’ll come back hungry, so it’s lunch time, and depending on the time you want to get married, our photographer will arrive two hours before to have a photo-shoot (normal and digital) in our beautiful gardens and the beach. The wedding ceremony will be held at the beach or at our gardens surrounded by beautiful flower arrangements it will be perform by a Costa Rican lawyer. The toast will be done with a bottle of Navarro Correas sparkling wine. At night you will have a romantic candlelight dinner specially prepared by our chef, your wedding cake as dessert.

Day 5: A Day to Relax
